<p>We're looking for an experienced Field Service Supervisor to perform routine skilled and technical support work in the inspection, repair and maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical equipment at power plants, substations, and industrial facilities. This position requires strong electrical expertise and leadership experience to support critical energy infrastructure projects across the U.S.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and manage a team of field service technicians responsible for testing, commissioning, and maintenance on LV-HV equipment (480V-600kV), including electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based protective relays. </li><li>Ensure that all field service activities are carried out in accordance with safety guidelines and company policies, including LOTO protocols and PPE usage. </li><li>Plan and schedule field service activities, including assigning tasks to technicians and coordinating with customers. </li><li>Provide technical guidance and support to field service technicians, including troubleshooting complex issues and providing solutions. </li><li>Develop test plans and execute commissioning procedures for new or upgraded systems. </li><li>Monitor and track field service activities, including maintaining records of service calls, equipment repairs. customer interactions, reports, test results, and job documentation using Power DB and other platforms. </li><li>Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to field service technicians to ensure high-quality work and continuous improvement. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and sales, to ensure effective communication and coordination of field service activities. </li><li>Mentor and Field service technicians to enhance their technical skills and knowledge. </li><li>Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers. </li><li>Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. </li><li>Prepare and submit reports on field service activities, including service performance, customer satisfaction, and equipment status. </li></ul> <p>The Experience We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of hands-on experience in the power industry, including P&C systems and field commissioning </li><li>1+ years performing on a lead capacity. </li><li>Scheduling experience a plus </li><li>Experience with the following test equipment: Doble M4100/M7100, Doble 5400, DLRO (Ductor), Megger Insulation Resistance sets, Vanguard/Raytech WRMs, Vanguard/Omicron CT sets </li><li>Knowledge of the following equipment: Circuit Breakers (HV/MV), Transformers, Switchgear, CT's, PT's and CCVT's </li><li>Experience with the following test equipment: Circuit Breaker Time/Travel, Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, CT ration & Saturation, and Hi-Pot </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently </li><li>Advanced knowledge of computers (MS Office, basic operation, folder creation, email, etc).. </li><li>Able/willing to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, holidays and nights </li><li>Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests </li><li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed </li><li>Able to lift 50+ lbs., crawl, climb, and perform hands-on work in the field </li><li>OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred </li></ul> <p>Why Join RMS Energy:</p> <p>We're not just another power services company.
