<p>Job Title: Production ChemistJob Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Production Chemist to join our team on the 3rd shift, working from 10pm to 6:30am. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful chemical synthesis and production processes in our facility.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and execute via batch record. </li><li>Maintain documentation standards to meet GMP requirements, including recording charges/transfers and documenting key observations. </li><li>Set up, operate, and clean all plant equipment, including reactors, centrifuges, filter dryers, shelf dryers, and milling equipment. </li><li>Participate in staging raw materials, loading into equipment, and unloading intermediates and products from dryers. </li><li>Read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and effectively communicate in a group setting. </li><li>Collaborate with Chemical Engineers to produce R&D API. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in GMP, GLP, and pharmaceutical quality standards. </li><li>Experience with chemistry and batch record management. </li><li>Familiarity with reactors, centrifuges, chromatography, and wet chemistry. </li><li>Ability to read batch records and perform manual compounding. </li><li>Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and basic math proficiency. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associates or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering preferred. </li><li>Experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or food production facility preferred. </li><li>SAP experience is a plus. </li><li>Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and working with reactors is desirable. </li><li>Willingness to handle chemicals with appropriate safety controls. </li><li>Capability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt flexibly to changes. </li><li>Willingness to undergo annual physical and drug screenings. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role operates on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am. The production area is small but part of a growing company with new opportunities on the horizon. The R&D lab is connected to the QC lab, though interaction is limited.
