<p>Full Time Instructional Assistant Elementary Level-preschool</p> <p>GENERAL DUTIES: Duties for this Instructional Assistant position may require working with one student, a group of students, or a large group in the general education or substantially separate setting. Duties may also include:</p> <ul> <li>Providing coverage for Classroom/Sped teachers for meetings </li><li>Preparing materials for teachers in the Special Education department </li><li>Setting up assistive technology for student use </li><li>Participating in weekly training/consultation with classroom teacher/Behavior Specialist · Reinforcing previously taught concepts in a small group setting </li><li>Conducting data collection at all stages of skill acquisition, both academically and behaviorally · Ensuring safety of students as they use adaptive equipment </li><li>Assisting with self-help skills, including but not limited to feeding, toileting </li><li>Participating in student progress meetings when requested, and provide input for progress reports and objectives; inform appropriate staff of program changes and updates </li><li>Completing parent communication logs and district documents as required </li><li>Demonstrating flexibility when daily schedules change </li><li>Being aware of and adhering to confidentiality protocol </li><li>Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum programs and modifications, including but not limited to augmentative communication devices, task analysis, and discrete trial materials </li><li>Maintaining students' program books, including but not limited to organizing assessments, documenting programmatic changes, and conducting reinforcement assessments · Implementing instructional and behavioral programs as designed by the Behavior Specialist · Using ABA procedures to conduct and amend student programs and record appropriate data in pull-out and inclusion settings.
