DCF has an extensive history of excellent performance in development, design and manufacturing, meeting the critical requirements of the US Navy for the prime contractors and shipyards.</p> <p>We are looking for a Fitter/Fabricator to join our team in Florence, NJ!</p> <p>2nd shift - 3:30pm-12:00am</p> <p>$30.00-$37.34 max DOE</p> <p>The Fitter/Fabricator is concerned with reading and understanding assembly instructions, steel blueprints and ensuring that the required parts are present and meeting quality control standards.</p> <p>Essential Duties of the Fitter/Fabricator:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturer an assortment of products using various raw materials, tools, and their own hand tools. </li><li>Responsible for reading and understanding assembly instructions; fitting of parts to meet drawing and other specifications to allow the part to be welded properly. </li><li>Fitting of parts includes plasma cutting, gas burning, and grinding as required to align and secure parts to meet the drawings and anticipated weld distortion. </li><li>Understand the importance of safely handling of assemblies and the proper operation of overhead cranes and other material handling equipment. </li><li>Provides guidance and direction to the hourly personnel assigned to the department/shift, including but not limited to providing personnel training. </li><li>Adheres to required MIL specifications. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>GMAW-P - 2209, 625, 316 </li><li>GMAW-P - 100S, 70S </li><li>GTAW - 2209, 625, 316, 82 </li><li>GTAW - 100S, 70S </li><li>GMAW-P - CuNi 67 </li><li>GTAW - NiCu-7 67 </li><li>Small Dia Pipe - 2209, 625, 316 </li><li>Socket Weld - Stainless </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <p>High School/Trade School diploma.</p> <p>Must have at least three (3) years of relevant Fabrication experience.</p> <p>Basic computer skills required.</p> <p>Must be able to read blueprints.</p> <p>Must be able to use welding, plate cutting, and grinding tools</p> <p>Must be able to work with minimal supervision.</p> <p>Properly trained to operate cranes safely</p> <p>Must have manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.</p> <p>Must have knowledge of metal properties and other material.</p> <p>Must have mathematical skills and analytical abilities.</p> <p>Job Type: Full-time</p> <p>Pay: $30.00 - $37.34 per hour</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Dental insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Flexible spending account </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <ul> <li>Florence, NJ 08518 (Preferred) </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
