<p>Culinary Administrator, The Department at Hudson's</p> <p>Department: The Department 800431</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: The Department</p> <p>Reporting To: Colin John Iii</p> <p>Description</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and systems-driven Culinary Administrator with a passion for both culinary operations and administrative excellence. This role offers a balance of structured, repetitive tasks and the dynamic pace of event-driven work.</p> <p>The ideal candidate thrives on consistency but remains adaptable, proactive, and confident. You will play a key role in maintaining culinary systems, ensuring successful culinary event operations, and improving operational processes. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to hold others accountable to process and standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Event Systems Management & Communication</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain culinary event details: menu items, quantities, overages, allergens, and cost. </li><li>Update events with urgency as needed; communicate time-sensitive changes effectively to culinary teams. </li><li>Collaborate with event sales and detailers to ensure accuracy and compliance in event builds. </li><li>Attend and participate in weekly BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings. </li></ul> <p>System & Data Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage data entry and recipe accuracy in Food Service Suite; retrieve ingredient and allergen data as needed. </li><li>Ensure consistency between TOAST POS and Caterease, particularly for barista-level offerings and portioning. </li><li>Troubleshoot and report technical or operational issues with Food Service Suite, Flightboard, and Caterease. </li></ul> <p>Administrative & Project Support</p> <ul> <li>Work independently while coordinating with the Culinary Administration Manager to ensure production accuracy. </li><li>Provide project-based support for the culinary team as needed. </li><li>Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). </li></ul> <p>Health & Safety Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a Health & Safety Ambassador within the culinary department. </li><li>Stay informed on safety protocols and SOPs; track incidents using internal systems. </li><li>Develop tools and practices to promote a culture of safety and compliance. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge & Expertise</p> <ul> <li>College coursework required; degree preferred. </li><li>Culinary knowledge required - either through a culinary degree or equivalent professional kitchen experience. </li><li>ServeSafe Manager Certification or willingness to obtain (provided through Continental). </li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency and efficiency. </li><li>Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting. </li><li>Confident in asking questions, challenging processes, and proposing improvements. </li></ul> <p>#CONALB</p>
