<p>Kforce has a client in Arlington, VA that is seeking an Accounts Payables Associate.</p> <p>Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. This position requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver excellent and responsive customer service to vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. </li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries related to accounts payable </li><li>Escalate sensitive or complex issues to management with appropriate context and recommendations </li><li>Verify invoices, purchase orders, and receipts for accuracy and compliance with company policies </li><li>Process accounts payable invoices efficiently and accurately </li><li>Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal departments </li><li>Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers </li><li>Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation </li><li>Assist with month-end closing activities and reconciliations </li><li>Ensure adherence to AIR's financial policies and procedures </li><li>Support special projects and assignments as needed* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred </li><li>3+ years of AP experience required </li><li>2+ years of experience working in a remote environment </li><li>2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities </li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Advanced MS Excel - experience with large data sets </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of FAR </li><li>Pos and ACH transfers required </li></ul> <p>Nice to have:</p> <ul> <li>Deltek Costpoint </li><li>Cognos Analytics </li></ul>
