<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>This position will serve to support the activities of the Land, Water & Conservation Division (LWC) Deputy Director and LWC Division at large with administrative functions.</p> <p>Job Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Providing administrative assistance to the LWC Deputy Director to include but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>distributing monthly reports, maintaining calendars, maintaining records, preparing correspondence, and following up on action items (as needed)</p> </li><li> <p>Providing assistance for the SC Geological Survey, Scenic Rivers Program, State Climate Office, and Flood Mitigation Program to include:</p> </li><li> <p>handling correspondence, serving as a liaison to the LWC Deputy Director, coordinating section meetings, and assisting with procurement and travel documents as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing administrative support for the LWC Business Office with travel requests, travel reimbursements, mileage log report, supply orders, check requests, uniforms, purchase orders, and LWC Business Office email monitoring.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing support and coordination for all LWC related committees including:</p> </li><li> <p>LWC Advisory Committee, StateMap, Drought Response Committee, Scenic River Advisory Councils, and other committees as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing reports, entering time sheets, and completing other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of responsible clerical or administrative experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related work experience preferred. Ability to perform a wide array of complex administrative functions concurrently and independently. Strong time-management, organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Ability to communicate effectively and deal courteously with the public. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. High degree of skill in using technology for word processing, spread sheets, file management, Outlook email and calendars. Adobe PDF's, website updates, etc. Ability to effectively deal with diverse populations. Ability to process sensitive information in a professional manner. Ability to work with limited direct supervision and be able to make decisions based on knowledge of the job.</p>
