<p>Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a Contract position with a client in Canton, MA. This is a on-site role providing hands-on desktop and end-user support in a Windows-based, cloud-enabled environment. The position is a true Tier 2 / Tier 3 desktop support role, focused on day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting, and user support-not development or engineering.</p> <p>Rate Range: $25/hour to $27/hour on W2; The rate may be flexible depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>Desktop Support Technician job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide hands-on desktop and end-user support for Windows-based laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals in an on-site corporate environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, hardware, and standard enterprise applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Support Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and related productivity tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage, triage, and resolve incidents using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with user onboarding, system access requests, login issues, and general IT support tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Support a cloud-based (Azure) environment at a basic navigation and support level (no engineering or architecture work required).</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate closely with remote Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support teams (India-based) to escalate, track, and resolve issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for Kofax, a document management and workflow platform used for pension-related processes (training will be provided).</p> </li><li> <p>Use basic SQL or Python knowledge to assist with simple troubleshooting tasks (running existing scripts or queries only; no development required).</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong hands-on experience providing desktop support in Windows environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience troubleshooting PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).</p> </li><li> <p>Basic familiarity with cloud environments (Azure).</p> </li><li> <p>Very basic exposure to SQL or Python (for troubleshooting only; no scripting or development).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience supporting document management or workflow tools (e.g., Kofax).</p> </li><li> <p>4+ years of Desktop Support / IT Support experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in fast-paced, lean IT environments preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
