<p>Atrium is partnering with a private real estate and development company in Orlando seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing team.</p> <p>Salary/Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$60k - $70k</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and general accounting for a portfolio of properties. They will work alongside the AP department to ensure all property bills are paid accurately and on time.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Handle accurate coding of invoices, expense accounts, vouchers, and check requests. </li><li>Document daily cash activity and perform daily bank reconciliations. </li><li>Manage daily cash position for assigned properties. </li><li>Enter financial transactions via journal entries. </li><li>Keep detailed balance sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations. </li><li>Execute month-end closing financial packets for the Controller to review. </li><li>Support the Controller in carrying out variance analyses and P/L reporting. </li><li>Keep detailed records of accounting procedures and SOPs. </li><li>Assist the Tax Supervisor with 1099 preparation at the end of the year. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Skills for the Property Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Experience performing accounting for multiple entities and expertise in intercompany transactions. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. </li><li>1+ years of experience in property accounting, preferably in residential property management. </li><li>Attention to detail and a goal-oriented mindset. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP accounting systems. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, and vision. </li><li>PTO. </li><li>Holidays. </li></ul>
