<p>JOB TITLE: Director of Nursing</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:</p> <p>The Director of Nursing is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, infection prevention initiatives, and operational best practices.</p> <p>The Director of Nursing will work closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, executive leadership, and all clinical staff to support efficient daily operations, clinical excellence, staff development, and patient safety initiatives.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated healthcare leader who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment and is passionate about building strong teams and driving continuous improvement.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing and clinical operations throughout the center </li><li>Ensure compliance with AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, CDC, AORN, and regulatory standards </li><li>Oversee infection prevention, quality assurance, QAPI, and patient safety programs </li><li>Collaborate with physicians and leadership teams to optimize patient care and operational workflows </li><li>Support recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management of clinical staff </li><li>Create & monitor staffing schedules, productivity, and clinical competencies </li><li>Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, and professionalism </li><li>Assist with policy development, implementation, and ongoing regulatory readiness </li><li>Participate in accreditation surveys, audits, mock surveys, and continuous readiness initiatives </li><li>Lead clinical education initiatives and competency programs </li><li>Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to company policies and procedures </li><li>Respond to patient concerns and support service recovery initiatives when needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in an ambulatory surgery center, perioperative services, or surgical setting preferred </li><li>Strong knowledge of AAAHC accreditation standards, CMS regulations, infection control, and ASC operations </li><li>Experience in perioperative nursing, PACU, Pre-Op, & OR services preferred </li><li>Current BLS and ACLS certifications required </li><li>Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment </li><li>Strong critical thinking and operational management abilities </li></ul> <p>Why Join Tracy Surgery Center?</p> <ul> <li>No weekends or major holidays </li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package </li><li>Collaborative and supportive leadership team </li><li>Opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care and center growth </li><li>Career growth opportunities through Surgery Partners </li><li>Positive culture focused on teamwork, excellence, and patient-centered care </li></ul> <p>Join Our Team</p> <p>If you are a passionate nursing leader looking to join a growing, high-performing ambulatory surgery center dedicated to clinical excellence and exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Tracy Surgery Center team.</p>
