Working as part of an integrated medical team, this role performs both administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare patients for examination and treatment; record medical history and vital signs</p> </li><li> <p>Assist providers during exams, procedures, and minor surgeries</p> </li><li> <p>Administer injections and medications within scope of practice</p> </li><li> <p>Process medication refills following provider protocols</p> </li><li> <p>Collect and process lab specimens and assist with diagnostic tests</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization</p> </li><li> <p>Review charts and reports for upcoming appointments and prepare necessary materials</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule patient tests and coordinate care as directed</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate patient records and compliance-related logs</p> </li><li> <p>Support quality assurance, safety, and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all CHS policies and regulatory standards</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required</p> </li><li> <p>Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred</p> </li><li> <p>BLS Certification (bi-annual) required</p> </li><li> <p>1-2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with patients with mental health or substance use disorders a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of medical terminology, safety procedures, and HIPAA compliance</p> </li></ul> <p>Community Health Systems, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer</p>
