<p>SALARY</p> <p>The minimum salary is $17.415 per hour</p> <p>This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.</p> <p>Pay Grade 511</p> <p>This position is eligible for Hazardous Duty Supplemental Pay ($90/month, $0.52c/hour) and CDL pay ($1.08/hour) once obtained within the required first six (6) months of employment.</p> <p>FILING DEADLINE DATE</p> <p>The deadline to apply is Monday, April 20, 2026</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The purpose of this classification is to perform hands-on material handling and administrative tasks involving receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking tools, parts, and materials used in the Division of Streets & Roads to ensure proper inventory levels, accurate recordkeeping, and efficient distribution of supplies to maintenance and operations personnel.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent </li><li>Two (2) years of related experience </li><li>Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of tools, materials, equipment, and parts against purchase order and packing slips </li><li>Store inventory items in designated locations using proper labeling and organization methods </li><li>Issue tools, parts, and materials to field and shop personnel, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory tracking </li><li>Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous materials, lubricants, and other regulated inventory in compliance with safety protocols </li><li>Track tool check-outs and returns; report lost, broken, or misused tools and equipment </li><li>Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required </li><li>Support maintenance crews with job site deliveries or equipment staging as needed </li><li>Performs related work as assigned </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION</p> <p>All Certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B and Endorsement N - Tank Vehicles within the first six (6) months of employment </li><li>Forklift certification within the first six (6) months of employment </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned and on emergencies. </li><li>All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16. </li><li>Positions are required to perform snow removal duties during weather emergencies. </li></ul> <p>HOW TO APPLY</p> <p>Submit LFUCG electronic application through lexingtonky.gov/jobs and attach/upload applicable documents to verify your education, training, certification/license(s), or DD214 (for military preference with appropriate discharge) by filing deadline date.</p> <p>RESUMES CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE APPLICATION, but are highly encouraged to be attached/uploaded to the application.</p> <p>Please note that the section titled "Application Questionnaire" has to be completed every time a new or revised application is submitted.
