We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>This position provides support to our Accounting Team with the day-to-day finance and accounting tasks at the home office. Confidentiality is critical. The Staff Accountant position is a valuable role that helps support our mission of improving the health and economic vitality of the communities we serve.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:</p> <ul> <li>Billing/invoicing/collection for multiple clients in accordance with contractual terms for work performed and reimbursable expenses, including compliance with all policies and procedures </li><li>Understanding of revenue recognition according to GAAP </li><li>Reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts </li><li>Experience maintaining general ledger accounts including posting of Journal Entries </li><li>Experience with month end closing procedures </li><li>Ensuring efficiency, accuracy and legal compliance of accounting records </li><li>Analyze financial performance and recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenues </li><li>Prepare documentation for external auditors </li><li>General ledger coding credit card statement(s) according to policy and procedure and importing data into general ledger </li><li>Oversight and approval of travel expense submissions for reimbursement </li><li>Various other accounting projects as directed by Controller </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent business experience preferred as well as knowledge of accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience including general accounting, accounts receivables and payables, and month-end close </li><li>Knowledgeable QuickBooks Online & Dynamics 365 </li><li>Proficient with MS Office, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills </li><li>Must be extremely organized and detailed oriented </li><li>Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism </li><li>Ability to operate a calculator, computer, and other general office equipment </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills </li><li>Must be self-starting, energetic, and focused </li><li>Solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:</p> <ul> <li>Work environment is fast paced </li><li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds infrequently </li><li>Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment </li></ul>
