To fulfill our responsibility to positively impact our world, we seek like-minded faculty members.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Drake University's Zimpleman College of Business invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor to teach two sections of Operations Management during the Fall 2026 semester.</p> <p>Course Description: A study of the operations function of organizations, focusing on providing services and producing goods efficiently and effectively. Students learn how to analyze, measure, and improve work methods; make capacity decisions; manage waiting lines; and control the flow of materials along the supply chain. The course also discusses ethics and sustainability; monitoring and improving quality, allocating scarce resources and managing projects.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>This part-time adjunct position involves teaching two sections of this undergraduate course in-person on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Successful candidates should have earned a graduate degree in business or a closely related field and must have professional experience in operations management, supply chain, or a related field.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Evidence of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university level is highly desired.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>90% - Teaching </li><li>5% - Advising </li><li>5% - Mentoring </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants:</p> <p>For consideration, you must apply online.
