<p>DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Amazon is seeking an experienced organizational effectiveness leader to spearhead high-profile needs across the G&A WWAS business lines. As Principal, Organization Effectiveness (OE), you will be part of a small, specialized Center of Excellence (CoE) charged with envisioning and implementing innovative org effectiveness solutions that help drive organizational performance. This role serves as a strategic partner to both HR and the business to conduct organization diagnostics, identify opportunities for organization effectiveness (org design, org health, org transformation, org optimization, leader and team effectiveness, change management) and implement solutions that drive positive, sustainable business growth. To be successful in this role, you must be capable of providing hands-on org effectiveness support to individual business executives while simultaneously creating simple yet impactful org effectiveness solutions to scale across the G&A WWAS organization.</p> <p>Key job responsibilities</p> <p>1) Organizational Assessment & Design</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive organizational assessments to pinpoint opportunities for growth across culture, mindsets, and behaviors </li><li>Collaborate with business leaders to define organizational visions, design principles, and strategic roadmaps </li><li>Design scalable, high-impact organizational solutions (e.g., structures, operating models, executive roles, processes) tailored to evolving business needs </li><li>Continuously enhance solutions by studying internal data, industry trends, and leading-edge practices </li></ul> <p>2) Org Effectiveness Capability Building</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement organizational effectiveness capability building solutions, including workshops, AI-enabled tools, and resources at scale. </li><li>Expertly deliver workshops and capability building sessions while simultaneously training senior HR peers to deliver the same </li><li>Build and maintain cross-Amazon strategic partnerships to drive business leader and Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) capability building initiatives. </li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders and HR peers, to understand organizational skill gaps, provide feedback, and ensure buy-in for OE capability building initiatives. </li></ul> <p>3) Organizational Development & Transformation</p> <ul> <li>Partner with leaders to optimize organizational performance, drive high-performing teams, and manage large-scale changes </li><li>Guide senior teams in resolving role ambiguities, process inefficiencies, and other organizational challenges </li><li>Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness services </li></ul> <p>4) Change Management & Strategic Communication</p> <ul> <li>Expertly lead dotted-line, cross-functional teams to maximize performance and achieve goals in ambiguous environments </li><li>Develop high-impact, strategic communications that prioritize the user experience and drive adoption of new ways of working </li><li>Set the strategic direction for and lead subject matter experts in delivering purpose-led, resonating change content </li></ul> <p>5) Analytics & Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Define, track, and communicate appropriate performance metrics to stakeholders </li><li>Leverage data and insights to drive continuous improvement of organizational solutions and increase transformation success </li><li>Partner with analytics experts to holistically evaluate solution effectiveness and unlock organizational value </li></ul> <p>About the team</p> <p>General & Administration (G&A) World-Wide Amazon Stores (WWAS) Talent Management is a global talent organization within WW Amazon Stores Human Resources. Within G&A WWAS Talent Management, we:</p> <ul> <li>Set the gold standard and model the behavior we want the business to follow. </li><li>Choose simplicity and speed over perfection when we can't have it all. </li><li>Build for the future and courageously challenge the status quo. </li><li>Actively seek out different ways of thinking/seeing - diversity makes us better. </li><li>Solve tough business problems by anchoring our work in the talent life cycle and relentlessly focusing on elevating the employee and candidate experience. </li><li>Leverage Science and Technology to drive our business forward…we do not, however, design solutions looking for problems. </li></ul> <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field </li><li>Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex, enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness initiatives or large scale people strategies </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field </li><li>Experience working in a Center of Excellence, responsible for creating then scaling enterprise-wide org effectiveness solutions including those targeting Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) </li><li>Expertise in organizational effectiveness, org design, large scale capability building, large scale change management </li><li>Proficiency in systems thinking, human-centered design, and organizational development approaches </li><li>Expertise in emerging organizational effectiveness and organizational development practices, tools, and technologies </li><li>Demonstrated success in organizational assessment, user research, and data-driven solution design </li><li>Strong business acumen and sound judgment to understand customer needs and shape strategies </li><li>Proven ability to build trusted partnerships, lead matrixed teams, and influence senior stakeholders </li><li>Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization </li><li>Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft crisp, compelling docs that resonate with Amazon executives </li><li>Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations </li><li>Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment and interest in supporting a global team across multiple time zones. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and foster a continuous improvement mindset </li></ul> <p>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.</p> <p>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
