<p>Definition</p> <p>Under general supervision, the Facility Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities relating to improvements to the water supply system, including design and construction of water plant capital improvement projects and major maintenance and replacement projects.</p> <p>Preferred experience and qualifications: Water Plant Operation certificate and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Engineer-in-training, or Professional Engineer (PE).</p> <p>Under general direction, is responsible for managing and coordinating activities relating to major building renovations and large-scale Capital Improvement Projects; performs related duties as required.</p> <p>Examples of Work</p> <p>(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all of the duties that may be performed.)</p> <p>Manages, plans, and coordinates the work of outside contractors, technical, trades, and maintenance personnel engaged in construction, maintenance, and renovation projects;</p> <p>Manages and oversees all phases of construction, maintenance, and building renovation projects;</p> <p>Prepares preliminary and final plans, bid specifications, and cost estimates for construction, maintenance, and renovation projects;</p> <p>Participates in the preparation of legislation for City Council approval;</p> <p>Reviews plans for Capital Improvement Projects;</p> <p>Administers contracts and prepares contract modifications as necessary;</p> <p>Develops cost projections for future capital and facility projects; meets with design professionals and contractors to discuss project goals and projected costs;</p> <p>Maintains blueprints, shop drawings, and job order charges for all new construction and renovation projects;</p> <p>Assists engineers, architects, contractors, and other managerial or supervisory personnel with developing timelines and providing quality services;</p> <p>Participates in contract negotiations related to renovation and construction projects;</p> <p>Coordinates Capital Improvement Projects activities with other City departments;</p> <p>Advises other managers and supervisors in the development of preventive maintenance programs for new and existing facilities;</p> <p>Acts as a liaison between engineers, architects, design professionals, contractors, and stakeholders;</p> <p>Inspects job sites and reviews construction progress reports to ensure conformity to specifications and timetables;</p> <p>Maintains records and prepares reports as necessary.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Possession of a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related area, AND four (4) years of managerial or supervisory experience in the construction, renovation, and/or maintenance of buildings.</p> <p>Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.</p> <p>Test/Job Contact Information</p> <p>Recruitment #: 25-3498-V3</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time (Regular)</p> <p>Should you have questions regarding this vacancy, please contact:</p> <p>Alisha Ardolino</p> <p>Columbus Water & Power</p> <p>Division of Water</p> <p>910 Dublin Rd.</p> <p>Columbus, Ohio 43215</p> <p>P: (614) 645-3751</p> <p>E:aaardolino@columbus.gov</p> <p>The City of Columbus is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
