<p>Job Description and Duties</p> <p>Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with variety? The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Labor Relations Analyst with knowledge of the State bargaining process and Memoranda of Understanding between the State and the Unions, as well as knowledge and application of effective negotiation techniques.</p> <p>If this is you, then CDI may be the employer for you!</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Labor Relations Officer (LRO)/Labor Relations Manager I, Human Resources Management Division (HRMD), the Labor Relations Analyst (LRA) serves as the first working level through associate level analyst and completes assignments of varying complexity within the Labor Relations Unit (LRU) which include research, analysis of statutes, regulations, policies and procedures within the labor relations field. Provides support to the Labor Relations Specialist (LRS) and the Department's LRO.</p> <p>Occasional travel may be required within the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.) and may include overnight stay(s).</p> <p>This position is designated under the Conflict-of-Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests.
