<p>Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our data and analytics team within the telecommunications domain. This role offers the opportunity to work on real-world data science problems involving statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in statistics, curiosity to explore large datasets, and a self-starting attitude to drive data-driven decisions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and trends in large datasets </li><li>Design and implement regression models and clustering algorithms to solve business problems </li><li>Develop visualizations using Python libraries such as Plotly, Matplotlib, or Seaborn to effectively communicate findings </li><li>Query and manipulate data using SQL across various data platforms </li><li>Deploy and manage data science workflows on AWS (Amazon Web Services) infrastructure </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders </li><li>Present technical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences </li><li>Utilize Linux-based environments and write shell scripts to automate data science workflows* 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field (including education, internships, and hands-on projects) </li><li>Proficiency in Python for data science applications </li><li>Solid understanding of statistics, regression, and clustering techniques </li><li>Experience with EDA and data visualization tools like Plotly, Seaborn, or Matplotlib </li><li>Strong skills in SQL for data extraction and transformation </li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, SageMaker, etc.) </li><li>Exposure to Linux, Bash, or Shell scripting in a data science environment </li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong sense of initiative and curiosity </li><li>Industry experience or familiarity with telecommunications is a plus </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in agile teams and/or with cloud-based data platforms </li><li>Prior exposure to version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker) is a bonus </li></ul>
