This role performs short-term driving assignments as needed with short notice. Work assignments consist of local driving, lasting 1 - 5 days at a time.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Drive a tractor & trailer which may require shifting and use of a clutch on assigned vehicle. </li><li>Complete the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) noting any defects on assigned equipment, daily Driver Log and Monthly Mileage Report. </li><li>Follow all federal, state, and local driving regulations and ordinances. </li><li>Use required PPE which includes, but is not limited to, proper ear, eye, and hand protection. </li><li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. </li><li>Must be able to effectively communicate, in order to: to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Must be able to interact in person with peers and management for the duration of the shift. </li><li>Must be able to handle high stress situations. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENT</p> <p>To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
