This job description does not alter an employee's at-will employment status or create an employment agreement or contract, implied or otherwise.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with equipment identification, specification, and modification for hazardous area on capital projects. </li><li>Perform power requirement and load calculations for new operations. </li><li>Assist with detailed project tasks such as writing scopes of work, purchasing requisitions, specifications, project close-outs. </li><li>Perform field survey of existing control system equipment and develop I/O counts for system expansion. </li><li>Assist in drawing database searches and assembling drawing packages in support of daily engineering efforts. </li><li>Help with other miscellaneous high priority engineering tasks associated with current capital projects. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Requires significant adaptability as well as working in a manufacturing environment and the ability to work around machinery.</p> <p>Education/Experience/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be enrolled or accepted into a 2-4-year accredited college or university or have graduated in the last 6 months. </li><li>Completed at a minimum the sophomore year in college, majoring in the discipline of Electrical Engineering. </li><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, detailed orientated and an attitude supporting a team service environment. </li></ul> <p>Major Competencies/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong technical skills </li><li>Problem solving </li><li>Analytical and design skills </li><li>Judgment and innovation </li><li>Teamwork </li><li>Project/process management </li><li>Verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Takes initiative </li><li>Strong sense of quality and safety </li></ul> <p>If you require assistance or an accommodation for a disability covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act, please email staffing@gd-ots.com or call: 727-578-8295.
