We are dedicated to protecting the state of South Carolina and we would love to have you as a member of our team!</p> <p>Science | Service | Sustainability</p> <p>Under direct supervision, the ESOP QA QC Data Coordinator assists in develops and implements Environmental Surveillance and Oversight Program (ESOP) QA/QC Data Coordinator duties for the BRLS Midlands Aiken office. Reviews and validates data from sampling events for accuracy for inclusion in the published annual data report. Assists with sampling requirements and assists project managers and office staff as needed.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the ESOP Data Coordinator. Ensure all programmatic quality objectives related to sampling, data evaluation, and report writing are met. Provide input into development and editing of project plans and SOPs. </li><li>Implement the ESOP QA/QC process. Support management in planning, monitoring, scheduling, and auditing staff performance. Conduct validation and verification of logbooks and Chains of Custody for transcription and accuracy. </li><li>Serve as a liaison for ESOP and the Columbia ARESD lab regarding transport of ESOP samples. </li><li>Attend training opportunities in order to maintain current knowledge of applicable environmental laws, regulations, and policies that pertain to environmental monitoring and SRS. Perform all functions in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures manual. </li><li>Complete all necessary administrative tasks and documentation as required and requested </li><li>Perform other duties as required or requested, which includes, but is not limited to, attending periodic staff meetings and training. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>An associate degree in a related technical field. </li><li>OR a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of environmental health or related experience. Certification in the environmental field qualifies as related experience. </li></ul> <p>Note: Degrees in a related technical field include, but are not limited to, Earth sciences, chemistry, biology, physics, soil science, environmental science, mathematics, etc.</p> <p>Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.</p> <p>Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application are encouraged to upload an unofficial copy of the transcript as an attachment to the application.
