If you're a team player with a passion for retail and customer service, we'd love to hear from you!</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate & Cashier position are to provide outstanding customer service, process transactions accurately, assist with merchandising, and support the store management team. This position requires availability for closing shifts (store closes at 7 PM) and working every other weekend.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities</p> <p>The key responsibilities for this role include:</p> <ul> <li>Delivering exceptional customer service by following the S.A.L.E.S process and meeting mystery shop standards. </li><li>Operating the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing all transactions with care. </li><li>Maintaining awareness of promotions, advertisements, and Ace Rewards program benefits to inform and assist customers. </li><li>Assisting with restocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise and store cleanliness standards. </li><li>Participating in team meetings, daily huddles, and contributing to a positive work environment. </li><li>Ensuring the safety and security of the store by being vigilant about shoplifting activity and maintaining a safe workspace. </li><li>Supporting the team with receiving and processing new shipments and keeping the back stock area organized. </li><li>Aiding customers in locating merchandise in-store and online and assisting with special orders. </li><li>Encouraging customers to sign up for the Ace Rewards program. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education/Training:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 16 years old </li><li>Willingness to learn about hardware products and services. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Retail experience preferred, especially in customer service or cashier roles. </li><li>Sales and marketing experience is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer skills, including experience with retail systems (knowledge of MS Word and Excel is a plus). </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Exceptional organizational ability, attention to detail, and multitasking skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. </li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly to assist customers and restock merchandise. </li><li>Must be able to move and handle boxes of merchandise throughout the store. </li></ul> <p>Additional Details</p> <ul> <li>This is a part-time position with required availability for every other weekend and closing shifts (store closes at 7 PM). </li><li>Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business. </li></ul> <p>Company Introduction</p> <p>We are your local hardware store and we are a part of your community.
