<p>Full-Time Faculty Position DPT Program at Long Island University - Brooklyn Campus</p> <p>Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn is pleased to invite applications and nominations for a full-time inperson tenure-track faculty member in Physical Therapy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in biomechanics, motor control, neuromuscular physical therapy, and foundations of research methodology. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have a record of peer reviewed recognized research, teaching experience, and service that includes involvement in physical therapy education and clinical practice.</p> <p>The successful candidate will teach in the DPT program, engage in an ongoing program of scholarship demonstrated by a strong scholarly agenda, and provide service to the department, University, and profession. The successful candidate will be a physical therapist with an academic (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent) terminal degree. Candidates must have a minimum of three to five years of clinical experience and be licensed or eligible for licensure as a PT in New York. A proven record as an active investigator, with demonstrated externally funded research from federal and/or corporate/industry research sources, along with ABPTS certification is preferred. Prior teaching in the classroom and/or clinic, in addition to contemporary expertise encompassing physical therapy discipline knowledge, skills and scholarship reflective of current practice, is required.
