<p>Overview</p> <p>Location: CONNRI Lodge (Ashford, CT)</p> <p>Scope of Position: To support various programs and events at Camp CONNRI and the CONNRI Lodge, including maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of facilities while collaborating with program leadership</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in preparing spaces for incoming groups and restoring areas after program or event use. </li><li>Assist with grounds upkeep, including trash pickup and general appearance of outdoor spaces. </li><li>Ensure trash is properly managed throughout the area. </li><li>Perform any reasonable task requested by the supervisor or event client(s). If acting as a host, contact the supervisor for any requests that fall outside assigned duties. </li><li>Reorganize chairs after each meeting or event as needed. </li><li>Set up chairs, tables, and any other needed equipment. </li><li>Ensure proper portion sizes in all meal deliveries. </li><li>Ensure all meals are prepared according to the approved menus. </li><li>Ensure furniture, computers, and other items are arranged neatly. </li><li>Ensure the kitchen and dining area are kept clean and sanitary. </li><li>Follow established cleaning schedules and standards. </li><li>Maintain efficient preparation and delivery of all meals. </li><li>Maintain inventory and meal preparation records. </li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of all assigned Camp and Lodge areas, including: cabins and lodging units, program office spaces, infirmary/health center, lodge common areas and dining spaces, restrooms and shower facilities, outdoor grounds, walkways, and activity areas. </li><li>Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, trash removal, and general upkeep to ensure all areas are safe, sanitary, and presentable. </li><li>Promptly report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages. </li><li>Respect guests' possessions and privacy. Report and return any guest properties found. </li><li>Serve as a professional representative of The Salvation Army, and maintain positive relationships with employees and guests. </li><li>Set up and clean before and after each meal and/or event: sweep floors, pick up trash, arrange chairs neatly, etc. </li><li>Stock needed supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.). </li><li>Work collaboratively with and report cleaning responsibilities, concerns, and completion status to the supervisors as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A high school diploma or equivalent, and must be at least 18 years old. </li><li>A positive, can-do attitude. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Ability to safely and correctly clean with solid attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to safely and adequately use cleaning equipment. </li><li>Self-motivated and dependable. </li><li>Strong time-management skills. </li><li>Must be able to provide transportation to and from the work site. </li><li>Must complete KeepSAfe and other training requirements upon hire. </li><li>Will respect and promote the interests of The Salvation Army.
