<p>About the Job</p> <p>Description of Position</p> <p>The University of Minnesota's Facilities Management (FM) department is responsible for the physical assets of the University to provide a safe, reliable and welcoming campus for learning and discovery. We ensure a quality environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors in support of the University's mission of teaching, research and outreach. U-Construction is a department within FM and serves as the University's in-house design/build unit that manages mid-sized construction projects on the Twin Cities campus. The work volume is approximately $20 Million annually with individual projects generally in the range from $25K-$250K. In addition to managing project work, U-Construction is the liaison between building trade unions and the University for routine, operational matters.</p> <p>This position is responsible for implementing and managing assigned administrative programs for Facilities Management U Construction umbrella of seven departments and works closely with and reports to the Assistant Director for U Construction. The person in this position will help to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department.</p> <p>This position reports to the Assistant Director, U-Construction.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>This position oversees and administers several U Construction departmental programs in addition to programs within the overall Central Services department. All programs require the ability to coordinate, process, liaise, document, analyze data, make recommendations for program enhancements, and ensure departmental compliance.
