<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating all OEM equipment PM service work and internal breakdowns to include addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns and ensuring all equipment and machines are in good working order.</p> <p>Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensures operation of the facility and operational equipment by completing preventive maintenance requests, working with OEM on production equipment to include lasers, plasma/flame, press brakes, CNC Mill, fork trucks up to 45,000# capacity. </li><li>Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and working with OEM manufacturer. </li><li>Ability to perform facility maintenance tasks and working with outside contractors </li><li>Controls downtime by informing production scheduler of routine preventive maintenance performed by OEM manufacturer and or internal maintenance </li><li>Fabricates repair parts by internal engineering and company equipment </li><li>Maintains spare parts inventory provided by OEM </li><li>Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results </li><li>Works with equipment OEM manufacturers to troubleshoot and address any sudden breakdowns </li><li>Prepares mechanical maintenance information to include all work order requests and document in company maintenance software </li><li>Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and establishing personal networks for equipment and parts suppliers </li><li>Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations </li><li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school degree and technical background required, trade/vocational school preferred </li><li>Minimum 2 years mechanical experience required, agricultural and/or automotive a plus </li><li>Strong background in electrical systems (including wiring schematics), hydraulics, air brakes and diesel engines as well as transmissions and clutches </li><li>Great communication skills, ability to work well with others and exchange skills and knowledge with other company employees </li><li>Able to work without direct supervision </li><li>Class A CDL a plus </li><li>Service shop experience preferred </li><li>Ability to lift heavy mechanical components and work outside in all types of weather </li><li>Demonstrated reliable work history and ability to work independently </li><li>Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility </li><li>Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks </li></ul>
