<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Work directly with Controller and Assistant Controller as an important member of accounting department with initiative-taking mindset and willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Area #1 (80%)</p> <ul> <li>Lead or assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. </li><li>Prepare journal entries and various financial reports and audit packages as required. </li><li>Assist with maintaining ledgers and daily accounting operations including bank reconciliation, month end closing, GL certification, and other assigned tasks including variance analysis as applicable or required. </li><li>Assist with various tax related matters including preparation of tax analysis, documents, or other assigned tasks. </li><li>Lead or assist in various audit related support for regulatory audit, internal and external audit, and parent bank audit. </li><li>Participate in monitoring and improvement to policy, systems, and reporting. </li><li>Lead or assist in the preparation of reports and schedules including but not limited to regulatory, internal, CTBC holding, and parent bank reports and reporting. </li><li>May be assigned to assist with daily AP admin/review operations and related system maintenance. </li><li>Lead or assist in month/quarter/annual book closing. Assist with analysis of revenue and expenses for variance analysis and ensure timeliness and completeness. </li><li>Assist with monthly financial forecast for internal and parent bank. </li><li>Lead or assist with IFRS/GAAP analysis and report. </li><li>Assist with preparing and reviewing regulatory call reports and FRY reports. </li></ul> <p>Area #2 (20%)</p> <ul> <li>Special projects and/or ad Hoc assignments. </li><li>Perform related duties, as required, for the training and development purposes. This may include accounting/regulatory trend research. </li><li>Examine operations to ascertain accounting needs and recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems. </li><li>Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems to improve reconciliation and exception tracking. </li><li>Provide technical and compliance guidance on business issues, such as revenue recognition, fixed asset capitalization rules. </li></ul> <p>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Familiarize and comply with all applicable Bank's policies and procedures as well as governing laws and regulations. This includes but is not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Performing all assigned duties under Bank's compliance programs and related laws & regulations. </li><li>Successfully completing all mandatory training on related Bank's and BSA compliances as well as other laws and regulations as assigned in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience and Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field or the combination of equivalent education is required. </li><li>5+ years of extensive finance and/or accounting experience within the financial service industry is preferred. </li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation is preferred. </li><li>Effective written and oral communication skills; Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff. </li><li>Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). </li><li>Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, and ability to interact with all levels of management and staff. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and to work independently with minimal supervision and adhere to deadlines. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less. </li></ul> <p>COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The base pay range for this position is USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.</p>
