<p>Bus Attendant - Part Time JobID: 552</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Transportation/Bus Attendant</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>9/24/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>County-Wide</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Bus Attendant - Part Time</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities; such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation</p> <p>SUPERVISES: N/A</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To assist in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with an ill or disturbed child while on the bus.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus.</p> </li><li> <p>Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion.</p> </li><li> <p>Collects and turns over to the school secretary those personal items left on the bus by students.</p> </li></ol> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As found in the Agreement Between the Kent County Educational Support Personnel Association and The Board of Education of Kent County. Ten-month year.</p> <p>SALARY LANE: Driver Trainer Lane "DT". Step established by the Superintendent. Salary Scales Click Here</p> <p>BARGAINING UNIT: Kent County Educational Support Personnel Association.</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt.</p> <p>EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.</p>
