Take advantage of new opportunities and take on exciting tasks and attractive positions with direct customer assignment.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Wire Harness Design and Release Engineer is responsible for the design and release of wiring harness assemblies and related components. This role involves coordinating drawing creation in both 2D (Capital XC) and 3D (NX via Teamcenter), as well as ensuring proper validation of components in both vehicle and component environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and release wiring harness assemblies and related components</p> </li><li> <p>Create and manage 2D drawings using Capital XC and 3D models using NX within Teamcenter</p> </li><li> <p>Validate released components through testing in both vehicle and component-level environments</p> </li><li> <p>Support manufacturing and supplier facilities throughout the product life cycle</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and resolve design issues identified at the plant or reported by suppliers</p> </li><li> <p>Process and implement engineering change requests (ECRs) from manufacturing plants and suppliers</p> </li><li> <p>Manage large volumes of data and incorporate design updates into current and future vehicle programs</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree (Materials, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering) from an ABET-accredited university</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience</p> </li><li> <p>At least 3 years of experience in transportation wiring design and release, or vehicle electrical systems</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills, including written reports and management-level presentations</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university</p> </li><li> <p>Training in DFMEA, DVP&R, and DFSS development tools and processes</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of CAD systems such as NX and Catia</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Capital XC CAD system</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, especially wiring manufacturing</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and automotive specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with web publishing and SharePoint data management</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.</p>
