<p>Overview</p> <p>Inspect raw materials, work-in-process, assembled parts or finished products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications either in-plant or at customer locations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications. </li><li>Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, gauges, calipers, micrometers or measuring tapes. </li><li>Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems. </li><li>Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs. </li><li>Perform visual inspections of finished products. </li><li>Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions. </li><li>Analyze production samples to evaluate quality. </li><li>Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff. </li><li>Stop production if serious product defects are present. </li><li>Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. </li><li>Examine customer returns to determine reason and complete Return Authorization form. </li><li>Log daily production quality reports. </li><li>Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred. Three to five years previous work-related experience. </li><li>Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Computer skills required; Outlook email, production systems, etc. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds. </li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. </li></ul>
