As an HVAC Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for commercial installations and repairs, executing service and maintenance contracts, and should be proficient in troubleshooting refrigerant-based systems, electrical and installation. We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic who can work independently on projects and take initiative when necessary.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>HVAC Mechanic must have six (6) years' experience and/or Union Journeyman Book </li><li>Must be available to work on-site </li><li>Must be able to work one of the designated shifts as noted: </li></ul> <p>Tuesday - Saturday - 3:00 PM EST-11:30 PM EST</p> <p>Tuesday - Saturday - 11:00 PM EST-07:30 AM EST</p> <p>Sunday - Thursday - 3:00 PM EST-11:30 PM EST</p> <p>Sunday - Thursday - 11:00 PM EST-07:30 PM EST</p> <ul> <li>May be required to work an estimated 10%, or 200 hours, overtime. </li><li>Journeyman level mechanical technician must perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs of </li></ul> <p>equipment, including, but not limited to, high pressure or high temperature hot water, steam systems and</p> <p>auxiliary heating system equipment, mechanical equipment rooms, refrigeration and air conditioning</p> <p>equipment, pumps, air compressors, temperature and humidity control systems, and emergency</p> <p>generators.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations </li><li>Must observe, read and interpret gauges and meters </li><li>Must utilize hand and power tools of trade </li><li>Must read and interpret technical manuals and specifications </li><li>Must be able to lift, climb, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time, as well as perform moderate to </li></ul> <p>heavy lifting.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work independently, as well as integrate with on-site staff, communicate results, and </li></ul> <p>provide written completion reporting.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to learn and operate building management system </li><li>Will be responsible to respond to routine building maintenance calls, toilets not flushing, lights out, etc. </li><li>Must be able to learn Duty Engineer (DE) responsibilities and learn and follow departmental policies </li></ul> <p>regarding different operational scenarios.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Possess type Universal Refrigeration Certificate</p> <ul> <li>Possess NYS 7G license, or acquire one within three (3) months of hire date </li><li>Have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience </li><li>Have at least two (2) years of Steam experience </li><li>Have at least two (2) years of Refrigeration experience </li><li>Have at least two (2) years of Service call experience </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Salary Range: $36.29 - $58.85/hr.
