<p>Job Description</p> <p>The Shipping Coordinator/Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring efficient, on-time delivery (OTD) of materials to our customers. This position is responsible for scheduling deliveries, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, managing truck related service/repairs, and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders. By actively monitoring order status, optimizing delivery routes, and supporting the operations team, this role directly contributes to customer satisfaction and operational success.</p> <p>Mission</p> <p>Support the Operations Director in driving SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory) performance by efficiently coordinating shipments, leading the dock team with a positive attitude, and ensuring seamless delivery execution.</p> <p>Outcomes</p> <ol> <li> <p>Achieve 99%+ delivery success rate to customers consistently.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure next day's schedule is distributed by 12pm.</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively solve delivery issues, minimizing delays and maintaining customer satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records in the system.</p> </li><li> <p>Optimize delivery routes and consolidate shipments to improve efficiency and reduce costs.</p> </li></ol> <p>Position Reports to:</p> <p>Director of Operations, Commercial/MultiFamily Division</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Champion a culture of Safety, Professionalism, and a Positive Attitude across all interactions. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, and third-party carriers. </li><li>Monitor sales orders daily to ensure readiness for shipment. </li><li>Schedule and coordinate deliveries with onsite customer contacts. </li><li>Consolidate shipments and optimize routing to maximize delivery efficiency. </li><li>Arrange and manage third-party carrier logistics when needed. </li><li>Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation. </li><li>Communicate proactively regarding back-ordered materials or delivery changes. </li><li>Update order statuses electronically and ensure system accuracy. </li><li>Report delivery issues promptly to the Director of Operations and relevant Project Managers. </li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and process optimization on the dock. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or scheduling preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or order management systems. </li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Knowledge of local/regional road networks and potential closures is a plus. </li></ul>
