<p>A crater works with lumber and plywood to build pallets, skids, and customer crates including the internal packaging.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Build, construct and assemble industrial crates. </li><li>Using hand and power tools cut and assemble materials to build the crates. </li><li>Assist in the construction of crates using panel saw and up-cut chop saw to cut plywood and lumber for crates. </li><li>Assist in the construction and assembly of crates using pneumatic hand tools (stapler, nail gun). </li><li>Pack product into crates using misc. packing materials. </li><li>Prepare and close barrier bag material using a hot roller/sealer. </li><li>Strap and band crates and skids for shipment. </li><li>Move and load crates using a forklift. </li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools and read a tape measure. </li><li>Dismantle and store crating tools and materials after use. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>HS diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Valid Driver's License. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year proven experience or comparable field preferably within the construction service industry in carpentry-related work (framing, crating, residential finish work). </li><li>Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment; hand, power, and pneumatic tools, read a tape measure. </li></ul>
