<p>Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. Come build your career with BAE Systems.</p> <p>We are looking for a Supplier Quality Technician to implement tools and processes to ensure suppliers improve on current products with robust plans and deliver first time quality to BAE program customers. The person will also investigate, evaluate, and resolve Supplier Quality problems as well as conduct audits, analyze defect trends, and lead continuous improvement projects. This supplier quality technician will engage experts across our commodity team to proactively mitigate risk and ensure effective resolution of issues as well as engage with program teams to support the manufacturing floor, flow down of customer requirements, sourcing decisions, and supplier risk identification. They must be a self-starting problem solver who will utilize their analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues. A strong desire and mindset to drive actions and projects to closure without being prompted is a must. Strong communication skills are required to ensure suppliers understand requirements and expectations, make progress reports and present findings. Ability to influence and execute across functions and organizations summarize briefing/findings at an executive leadership level will be necessary for success.</p> <p>Additionally you will:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize supplier Scorecards/metrics and analytical tools to quantify performance levels of individual suppliers and work with those suppliers to develop improvement plans to achieve 100% quality performance </li><li>Evaluate and assess the impact of nonconforming product and suppliers' corrective actions, including timely communication with the program team of both. </li><li>Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances </li><li>Perform and Evaluate First Article Inspections per the requirements of AS9102 as well as train suppliers to meet BAE Systems expectations </li><li>Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and program quality to identify part and supplier risk for proactive mitigation activities.Required Education, Experience, & Skills </li><li>High School or equivalent and 2-3+ years of experience </li><li>Effective communication skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of Requirements </li><li>L6S Greenbelt </li><li>Experience with root cause corrective action investigations </li><li>Experience with electronics manufacturing </li><li>Proven ability to coordinate a team to drive action </li><li>Experience with metric trending </li><li>AS9102/AS9145 experience </li><li>Work Experience with the manufacturing inspection and acceptance of all mechanical parts from multiple different manufacturing processes. </li><li>Direct knowledge of Manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods. </li><li>Understanding of coating requirements and other special processes per Nadcap principles. </li><li>Current or prior certification on IPC-A-620 and other courses related to the needs to ensure proper operation of effective, high-quality connectivity devices. </li><li>Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. </li><li>Experience with product test, equipment and instrumentation and other common processes common in the Aerospace and Defense Industries. </li><li>Working knowledge of the principles and the purpose of a Quality Management System and RCCA or Structured Problem-solving techniques such as 8D. </li></ul> <p>Pay Information</p> <p>Full-Time Salary Range: $64723 - $103557</p> <p>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
