<p>The Center for Social Impact is seeking a dynamic and organized Events & Marketing Associate Assistant to join our team. This paid position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and coordination, marketing, and outreach. The Events Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the successful execution of our events, from marketing and promotion to setup and takedown.</p> <p>Start Date: August 25th</p> <p>Hours: Required tabling: Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM</p> <ul> <li>Additional event related hours: 3-8 hours/week as needed for event planning, setup, and execution (flexible depending on event schedule)• Represent the Center for Social Impact during campus tabling, enthusiastically engaging with students to communicate our mission, values, programs, events, and leadership opportunities. </li><li>Assist in planning, promoting, and executing Center events, including workshops, seminars, and community gatherings. </li><li>Support event logistics including setup, takedown, registration, attendee check-in, and follow-up. </li><li>Manage tabling materials: maintain scripts, distribute swag, and track sign-ups for newsletters and social media. </li><li>Collaborate with Center staff, Impact Fellows, and other team members to ensure smooth event and outreach operations. </li><li>Contribute to creative marketing efforts to increase student awareness and engagement. </li><li>Must be a currently enrolled UVU student. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for short periods of time and help with event setup, takedown, and display arrangements. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, faculty, staff, and the public. </li><li>Organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. </li><li>Familiarity with UVU campus culture and student life is a plus. </li><li>Experience with event planning, marketing, or outreach is preferred but not required. </li><li>Punctuality and reliability are essential. </li></ul>
