<p>As an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Design Engineer, you will be the trusted advisor and technical support professional for the Wesco Global Solutions business. The Technology Support Services team is the first tier of support in all our technologies. The team are technical advisors to Communications and Security Solutions (CSS), Electrical and Electronic Solutions (EES) and Utility and Broadband Solutions (UBS) sales organizations. The Technology Support Services team also supports the Corporate Marketing, Supply Chain Solutions and Category Management groups as Subject Matter Experts.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver credibility and value to our customers in the education and positioning of solutions for technology in various markets. </li><li>Work closely with Sales and key suppliers to build effective solutions that meet the customer expectations and future needs. </li><li>Educate sales on the full range of technologies the team supports to strengthen customer engagement. </li><li>Evaluate project opportunities and determines the resource requirements needed to support them. </li><li>Engage with sales opportunities and support requests from any region, leveraging global specialists as needed.. </li><li>Support the Global Training Program as both a trainer and participant. </li><li>Help Sales identify and position Supply Chain Solutions to maximize sales potential and profitability across CSS, EES, and UBS </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree or equivalent technical experience required </li><li>Bachelor's Degree - Technical or engineering discipline, or commensurate years of technical experience preferred </li><li>Five years of experience in the technical field of expertise in design, implementation and/or commissioning </li><li>Demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to make recommendations within the designated area of responsibility </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio in order to provide high quality and detailed Data Center Infrastructure designs </li><li>BICSI RCDD required; additional data-center design certifications such as CDCDP or DCDC preferred </li><li>Possess a customer-centric mindset </li><li>Ability to travel up to 10% </li></ul> <p>#LI-VR1 #Remote</p>
