If this sounds like you, apply today and join the team!</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Serve as a positive representation of Heritage Cooperative's Core Values</p> <ul> <li>Provide Superior Customer Service </li><li>Highest Standards of Integrity and Trust </li><li>Continuous Improvement </li><li>Being a Good Partner </li></ul> <p>Manage operations of feed mill and grain facilities in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible</p> <p>Demonstrate ability to multitask</p> <p>Act with integrity and deliver results</p> <p>Assist with maintaining company safety program</p> <p>Conduct and lead inventory teams through month end inventory and work to reduce shrink</p> <p>Develop, maintain and monitor standard operating procedures for all processes</p> <p>Effectively meet all internal and external regulatory compliance requirements</p> <p>Ensure that customer service, and product quality provided by the facility meet the expectations established by heritage cooperative, our customers and the marketplace</p> <p>Demonstrate high level customer support</p> <p>Lead by example with respect, integrity and ethics</p> <p>Maintain and enhance ongoing training of production employees on equipment operation, set-up, troubleshooting and process optimization</p> <p>Maintain feed tags and inspect for accuracy</p> <p>Make recommendations to improve production, safety, quality and cost savings</p> <p>Manage the employees at the facility in a manner that maximizes the safety, quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the operation</p> <p>Monitor and adjust settings on baggers, hangers, sewing machines, robotic palletizers, pellet mill etc. To achieve maximum performance and efficiency</p> <p>Provide a safe work environment for all employees, an effective facility to meet product specifications and an efficient operation that can meet cost and service expectations</p> <p>Responsible for all plant maintenance</p> <p>Responsible for execution of the daily production schedule</p> <p>Review and investigate feed and drug assays</p> <p>Supervise and motivate employees as needed</p> <p>Supervise production activities, check and sign off on daily production reports, check run yields, sequencing, flushing, etc</p> <p>Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers</p> <p>Other duties as assigned by your supervisor</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time</p> <p>Ability to frequently lift and/or carry heavy objects no more than 50 pounds</p> <p>Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed</p> <p>Willingness to work various weather elements including cold, heat, wind, rain, etc</p> <p>Outstanding organizational and time-management skills</p> <p>Respectable mechanical skills</p> <p>Hands on experience in an ability to deliver excellent customer service</p> <p>Knowledge of ag technology tools</p> <p>Self-motivated with a strong initiative</p> <p>Solid decision making and problem-solving skills.</p> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills</p> <p>Experience and knowledge of feed production or similar manufacturing</p> <p>Proven leadership experience in a team environment</p> <p>Capable of working without supervision</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Valid Driver's License, with acceptable driving record</p> <p>Forklift Certified</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in agriculture or equivalent experience</p> <p>Previous Feed Experience</p> <p>WHY HERITAGE?</p> <p>Competitive Pay</p> <p>401k match after 6 months</p> <p>Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits</p> <p>Company paid Life/AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability</p> <p>Farm Bureau Membership</p> <p>Paid Holidays, Sick, and Vacation Time</p> <p>If you see yourself as a future Operations Manager with Heritage Cooperative, apply TODAY at www.heritagecooperative.com/Careers!</p> <p>DISCLAIMER</p> <p>The job description is not intended to cover or describe all tasks, duties and responsibilities the employee may be required to be asked to perform.
