<p>3pm to 1130pm 32 hours a week (alternating days each week, one weekend a month/alternating holidays)</p> <p>Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.</p> <p>Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organizational and prioritization skills </li><li>Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor </li><li>Ability to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment. </li><li>Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Excellent computer skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum two years of computer experience </li><li>Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology </li></ul> <p>Educational Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>License/Certification: N/A</p> <p>Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.</p> <p>Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations: Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>Sturdy Memorial Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
