<p>WHKS has a great opportunity available for a Civil Engineer who is interested in working with a wide variety of challenging engineering projects. The candidate will use their knowledge and expertise in the design and management of municipal, transportation, and other infrastructure type projects. WHKS offers excellent compensation and benefits, as well as work schedule flexibility.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Municipal utility, drainage, roadway, site design, and other engineering support functions Coordinate with engineers and technicians on a variety of challenging engineering tasks in a collaborative team environment </li><li>Perform project management duties, including effective communication with clients to build strong relationships, review project needs, and secure contracts </li><li>Design and prepare roadway construction documents, including typical/cross sections, erosion and sediment control plans, maintenance of traffic plans, stormwater management, drainage design, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans </li><li>Perform other design-related tasks, such as quantity calculations, geometric calculations, roadway layout, grading plans, utility layouts, and subdivision layout </li><li>Develop 3D models using Bentley CONNECT or Civil 3D software </li><li>Provide oversight of CADD technicians to verify accuracy and quality of work </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering </li><li>Iowa P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months </li><li>10+ years of experience in municipal or transportation design </li><li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with clients, contractors, and peers </li><li>Excellent computer skills </li><li>Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D and/or Bentley CONNECT </li></ul> <p>Apply Here</p>
