<p>Kids Ministry Associate- Southwest Campus</p> <p>Works with staff and volunteers to create age-appropriate environments and experiences for children to discover God, His Story and their place in it, with a focus on Birth through Pre-K. Shepherds and equips volunteers and looks for opportunities to encourage parents as the primary disciple-makers in their homes. In all things, carries out the mission, vision, and values of Southeast Christian Church.</p> <p>What you'll be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Recruits, processes, trains, and shepherds volunteer leaders to minister to children and families. </li><li>Coordinates the scheduling of volunteers using Planning Center. </li><li>Ensure current policies and best practices are adhered to within the ministry area to ensure safety and excellence. </li><li>Prepares and implements weekly curriculum for small group environments. </li><li>Setup and prep all classrooms for weekend services in partnership with Support Assistant and volunteers. </li><li>Coordinates with Operations team regarding which classrooms will be open or closed for each worship service. </li><li>Plan and execute events for children and volunteers, including family dedication and promotion weekend. </li><li>Communicates frequently and effectively with volunteers and parents, including pastoral care, prayer, and encouragement. </li><li>Performs administrative tasks. </li></ul> <p>Essential Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Planning Center, and proficient in Rock database (or has ability to learn). </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Organized and flexible. </li><li>Administrative. </li><li>Quick thinking and confident in decision making skills. </li><li>Team player with a positive attitude. </li><li>Naturally displays hospitality, encouragement, empathy, and leadership. </li></ul> <p>Required Education, Experience, and Membership</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree. </li><li>Experience organizing and leading volunteers. </li><li>Collaboratively work within a team environment. </li><li>Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one. </li><li>Exemplifies our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun. </li><li>Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship and giving. </li><li>Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantras in tangible ways. </li></ul>
