<p>Job Title: Distribution Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are currently seeking 2-4 talented engineers in the Denver market to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering. As a Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for performing analysis, staking, and pole relocation support for utilities across the United States.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform pole analysis, relocations, and staking using software such as GE Smallworld and Pole Foreman. </li><li>Support utilities with design and distribution tasks. </li><li>Collaborate with engineers, field personnel, and customers to build strong relationships. </li><li>Travel 5-10% of the time to stake projects, as required. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from an ABET-accredited university. </li><li>Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Suite, PowerPoint). </li><li>Strong communication and initiative skills. </li><li>Experience in power systems and underground/overhead construction practices. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous distribution engineering experience supporting utilities like Xcel is a plus. </li><li>Internship experience showing initiative is ideal. </li><li>Open to feedback and learning, with strong critical thinking abilities. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work primarily in an office environment for 40 hours per week, with some overtime contingent on deliverables. The role includes a combination of office and field-based work, requiring occasional travel to local job sites or facilities. You must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a company truck and your own car if needed, with gas expenses compensated per mile.
