<p>The Respiratory Therapist will assist in collecting information and/or authorization if referral is from party other than the physician. He/she will asses the needs of the patient and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet those needs. The Respiratory Therapist involves the patient, family, and/or caregiver in the selection process. You will also instruct patients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for the equipment. The Therapist will communicate with the patient's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and will carry out adjustments to the patient's plan of care or treatment.
