<p>Description</p> <p>Boulder CountyPublic WorksDepartment is seeking to hire a Parks Technician II.The Parks Technician II performs a variety of skilled duties including training and monitoring hourly employees and community service workers on improvement projects in the development and maintenance of parks or building grounds; mowing, string trimming, pruning of trees and edging, etc. of facilities managed by Building Services. This position requires independent judgement and knowledge of department operations.</p> <p>This is a full-time, benefitedposition that will work Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. This position will work out of3200 Airport Rd.,Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt(eligible for overtime).</p> <p>Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.</p> <p>Hiring Salary Range: $50,004.00 - $60,300.00 Annually</p> <p>Tentative Hiring Timeline:</p> <ul> <li>Phone Screening: Week of December 22nd </li><li>First Round Interviews: Week of December 22nd </li><li>Second Round Interviews: Week of December 29th </li><li>Reference Check: Week of December 29th </li></ul> <p>New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Visit studentaid.gov for more information.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Assist in designs and monitors maintenance and improvement projects on properties administered by the Building Services Department </li><li>Plans, organizes, assigns and reviews work of inmate crews in accordance with established goals, objectives and authorized work plan </li><li>Assists in developing the annual work plans </li><li>Coordinates landscape maintenance projects </li><li>Performs snow removal and building maintenance as needed </li><li>Performs skilled duties in the operation of hand tools, power tools and equipment </li><li>Performs repairs and preventive maintenance to grounds and snow removal equipment </li><li>Performs related work, as required </li><li>May be reassigned during emergency situations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: When completing your application describe all relevant education and experience, as applications are assessed based on the required qualifications listed.
