<p>Overview</p> <p>CENTERS, LLC is a professional management firm specializing in facility, operation, and program management for higher education. CENTERS' management approach is customized for each client yet retains our uniform quality. Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. View the comprehensive information about the competitive benefits package on our careers page then scroll down to CENTERS Benefits (click link to view).</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Coordinator of Operations & Events with the oversight, training, and supervision of Operations staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and completion of bi-weekly payroll </li><li>Lead all disciplinary meetings with part time student staff </li><li>Conduct part time staff meetings with assistance of Coordinator of Operations & Events </li><li>Create, develop, and enforce policies and procedures, budget oversight, and revenue projections as it relates to Student Center Facility Operations </li><li>Create and maintain a template list of regularly scheduled daily cleaning projects for part time staff to complete. </li><li>Assist the Coordinator of Operations & Events staff with the planning and execution of shutdown and break cleaning projects </li><li>Coordinate or assist in setup and breakdown of conferences and events as needed. </li><li>Assist the Coordinator of Operations & Events with the oversight of part time staff CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. </li><li>Lead or assist in coordinating semesterly audits on part time staff CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. </li><li>Attend mandatory meetings including full-staff and assigned committee meetings </li></ul> <p>Secondary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Attend staff meetings and trainings hosted by the University Recreation and Wellbeing department. </li><li>Serve as an active member on an Internal Committee. </li><li>Lead American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Professional Rescuer certification courses. </li><li>Other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, Higher Education, or closely related field is preferred </li><li>Acceptance into the College of Graduate Studies at Cleveland State University </li><li>Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain prior to the start of employment </li><li>One year of undergraduate experience in campus recreation and knowledge of basic practices in recreational sports </li><li>Leadership and supervisory abilities of undergraduate students and interns </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a part of a professional team that collaborates effectively with colleagues </li><li>Ability to thrive in an environment that values entrepreneurial spirit, high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles </li></ul> <p>Education and Other Benefits of Employment:</p> <ul> <li>Professional development opportunities in state, regional, and national workshops and conferences </li><li>20% discount on Pro Shop goods </li><li>$30/semester employee credit </li><li>Free locker rental & towel service </li><li>Part-time employees may be eligible to enroll in our CENTERS 401k plan and receive 3% employer contribution </li></ul> <p>Work Environment and Physical Demands</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Office environment/fitness center environment </li><li>Moderate to loud noise </li><li>Evening/Weekend work as required </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Sitting at desk or table for at least 50% of the work day </li><li>Standing or walking for at least 50% of the work day </li><li>Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement (while operating computer equipment) </li><li>Occasional bending and stooping </li><li>Eye-hand coordination (keyboard typing) </li><li>Hearing and talking </li><li>Extended periods of reading fine print </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
