Deploy and support core network functions across a cutting-edge cloud native standalone 5G network Partner with vendor personnel at Nokia, BICS and roaming partners to set up roaming services, features, and upgrades. Participate and lead discussions in the investigation of innovative 5G technologies to improve the network virtualization infrastructure. Perform hands-on 5G Core nodes and roaming call flows related to S8HR, N9HR, N26 and N14. Ensure that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices and assist in the development of these standards and best practices. Lead and mentor engineers within the team to provide technical guidance and knowledge of the networks in various functional areas</p> <p>Skills, Experience and Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field plus 10 years of Wireless industry experience in Job offered, Roaming Engineering, Operational role, Manager of Core Service Solutions, or similar roles. Also requires 5 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):</p> <ul> <li>Implementing, integrating, and deploying solutions related to one of the following: S6a, S8c, or S8u; </li><li>Atoll, Rohde and Schwarz scanners; </li><li>Roaming Technologies & Network Design; </li><li>Principles/Implementation including S8HR & N26; </li><li>Technical Customer Care Organizations within the Operator/Partners; </li><li>DRA, DEA, HSS, S/PGW, MME, AMF, SMF & UPFs; </li><li>4G/5G core network design and implementation; </li><li>Troubleshooting SS7, Diameter and IP traffic; </li><li>SMF / UPF / AMF / DRA / DEA / HSS; </li><li>Cloud Native environment, with technologies such as AWS/GCP/Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OpenStack, VMWare, KVM or EKS; </li><li>Kubernetes, Docker or AWS/GCP/Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; </li><li>4G/5G/IMS / LTE; </li><li>TCP/IP networking and TCP, UDP, SCTP, GTP, RADIUS, Mobile IP, SIP, and Diameter protocols; </li><li>Python scripting or any other scripting language such as Bash or Tcl; and </li><li>Protocol Analysis, Wireshark, NetScout, RADCOM or other similar tools. </li></ul> <p>Salary Ranges</p> <p>Compensation: $223,600.00/Year</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Benefits information available at https://careers.dish.com.
