<p>2025 - 2026 School Year</p> <p>Bridgeport Public Schools</p> <p>Human Resources Department</p> <p>45 Lyon Terrace, Room 324</p> <p>Bridgeport, CT 06604</p> <p>Adult Education Career and Technical Education (CTE) Instructor</p> <p>ADULT LEARNING CENTER</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Seeking a certified Adult Education Career and Technical Education (CTE) Instructor to oversee and deliver high-quality online instruction in one or more CTE subject areas. The instructor will be responsible for managing online course content, providing direct instruction, assessing student progress, and supporting adult learners in achieving their educational and career goals.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging and standards-based online instruction in designated CTE subject areas. </li><li>Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance. </li><li>Collaborate with program staff to align curriculum with workforce needs and adult learner goals. </li><li>Utilize digital tools and learning management systems (LMS) to enhance instruction. </li><li>Provide academic and career guidance to adult learners. </li><li>Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required. </li><li>Ensure compliance with Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) adult education policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Connecticut Educator Certification in the following areas:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Endorsement #106 - Adult Education High School Credit Diploma Program (#106) <p></p> </li><li> <p>Endorsement #5051 - Technology Integration</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience teaching adult learners and/or in an online learning environment is highly desirable.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with online learning platforms </li><li>Experience with curriculum development and instructional design for adult learners. </li><li>Knowledge of workforce development trends and industry certifications. </li><li></li></ul> <p>This job description is not, nor is it intended to be, a complete statement of all duties, functions, responsibilities, qualifications, physical, and cognitive, which comprise this position.
