<p>Institutional Research Analyst - Office of Enrollment Data Strategies, Division of Student Affairs</p> <p>POSITION DETAILS</p> <p>TheInstitutional Research Analystwill report to the Institutional Research Manager.</p> <p>In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, theInstitutional Research Analystwill be responsible for the following duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Handle day-to-day operations of the CRM system, including user account management and maintaining reliable integrations with university platforms and external vendor systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct routine data quality checks, assess data-related issues, manage data transfers, and ensure the integrity of records throughout the enrollment funnel (prospects to admits).</p> </li><li> <p>With assistance from the manager, create and optimize queries, dashboards, and custom reports to support enrollment strategies, student success initiatives, and institutional planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Track system performance and recommend improvements to enhance overall system functionality.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate and propose new ways streamline processes and support continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain clear documentation of system workflows, security procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure compliance and consistency.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with teams in Student Affairs to ensure CRM capabilities align with institutional priorities and foster data-informed decision-making.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree required.</p> <p><em>Preferred Qualifications</em></p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with Microsoft Excel and R or Python.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SQL and/or PS Query.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience that demonstrates good knowledge of record management systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience with logic, technical design and workflow concepts.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature with the highest level of professionalism.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with FERPA regulations to ensure the secure handling of applicant and student information.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and personal accountability.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and oral communication abilities.</p> </li></ul> <p>CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW</p> <p>Assists with Institutional Research projects, data, and reports.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the design and maintenance of Institutional Research databases. </li><li>Works with large complex data sets, including exporting/importing from various sources, cleaning data files, and maintaining historical records. </li><li>Assists with the design, production and administration of survey instruments, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. </li><li>Prepares and runs reports for internal and external constituents. </li><li>Works with others in the College community to assure high-quality information and reporting. </li><li>Performs related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Title Name: Institutional Research Analyst</p> <p>CUNY TITLE</p> <p>Assistant to HEO</p> <p>FLSA</p> <p>Non-exempt</p> <p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p> <p>Salary commensurate with education and experience $46,103 - $54,268.</p> <p>CUNY's benefits contribute significantly to total compensation, supporting health and wellness, financial well-being, and professional development.
