<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>To provide personal/group/career counseling and related support activities for disadvantaged students who participate in TRIO-SSS program.</p> <p>Assist the director in the recruitment and selection of at least 100 students into the TRIO-SSS Program each academic year.</p> <p>Assess students' academic and career goals and develop relevant IAPs.</p> <p>Provide personal, academic, and career counseling in individual and group settings.</p> <p>Assist students with financial aid forms, assessing financial need, and serve as advocate for additional assistance as required. Track current participants who are receiving financial aid to ensure they have submitted a new application for the upcoming academic year.</p> <p>Schedule tutorial, counseling and remedial services for student participants needed</p> <p>Submit monthly progress reports to the Director including a cumulative summary of contact hours and services.</p> <p>Coordinate and document graduation/transfer information/component.</p> <p>Oversee the management and organization of the files of the participants on your case load.</p> <p>Perform other program functions and duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in student personnel services, education, counseling or closely related field and two (2) years advising/counseling students preferred. Experience as a counselor with students or clients (2 years preferred).</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>This a Full-Time, Temporary Grant Position</p>
