<p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Targeted Years of Experience: 5 to 7 years </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance. </li><li>Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. </li><li>Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. </li><li>Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. </li><li>Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. </li><li>Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. </li><li>Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. </li><li>Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications. </li><li>Supervise the work of programmers, technologists, technicians and other engineering personnel. </li><li>Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration. </li><li>Determine system performance standards. </li><li>Train users to use new or modified equipment. </li><li>Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. </li></ul> <p>Must Have Skills (Most Important):</p> <ul> <li>Python , Git , Javascript </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Angular JS , React JS , HTML / CSS , Java </li></ul> <p>Education/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Engineering degree with more than 4 years of Experience. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Python: This is the main requirement. The position calls for a Python developer with four to five years of experience. The code is described as a "legacy code," with many scripts. The role involves enhancing and developing the backend services for the "VIKI" chatbot application. </li><li>API experience: The role requires experience with API enhancements, specifically REST and SOAP API integrations. </li><li>Frontend knowledge (Good to have): The "VIKI" app's front end is built with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with these languages, as well as React or AngularJS, is a plus. </li><li>AI experience (Good to have): While not required, some experience with AI models or Google Dialogflow is a plus since the chatbot is built with that integration. </li><li>Time Zone: The preferred time zone is EST to align with the rest of the team. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $58 - $60hr on w2</p> <p>The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
