<p>Nursing Assistant</p> <ul> <li>Must be courteous to patients, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. </li><li>Identify and locate needed accessories to facilitate transport. </li><li>Answering call lights. </li><li>Making beds both empty and occupied. </li><li>Setting up all equipment routinely used on their home base units. </li><li>Preparing room for admission. </li><li>Assist with patient discharges </li><li>Removal of linens. </li><li>Answering telephone. </li><li>Must wear facility provided identification badge. </li><li>Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family member, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers. </li><li>Facilitate communication to RNs to provide best care possible for patients </li><li>Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Additional NURSING ASSISTANT PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Transports patients via wheelchairs and stretchers. </li><li>Vital signs, oxygen saturation, weights, and non-invasive specimen collection. </li><li>Turning and positioning patients, range of motion, ambulation, and toiletry. </li><li>Assistance with all ADL's and complete care as needed. </li><li>Setting up, assisting and educating patients, with commodes, bedpans, urinals, sitz baths, walkers, wheelchairs, slings, venodyne boots, crutches, specific precautions- with input from PT as needed </li><li>Appropriate emptying and/or recording of all drainage devices. </li><li>Postmortem care. </li></ul> <p>Patient Care Tech</p> <p>Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Must be courteous to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Takes and records patients' vital signs. Dresses wounds, gives enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and</p> </li></ol> <p>massages.</p> <ol start="3"> <li> <p>Applies compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles.</p> </li><li> <p>Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in</p> </li></ol> <p>charge.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and notes time </li></ol> <p>and amount on patients' charts.</p> <ol start="6"> <li> <p>Assembles and uses such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers.</p> </li><li> <p>Collects samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from patients for testing and performs routine</p> </li></ol> <p>laboratory tests on samples.</p> <ol start="8"> <li> <p>Sterilizes equipment and supplies.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares or examines food trays for prescribed diet and feeds patients.
